Like many others in apple.discussions groups the sound drops after 5 - 10 minutes. Apparently this has been going on for a long time and Apple heas yet to address the issue.

This used to be free… and I still have it too.. but still quite a rip off… And mine still works perfectly fine

I think this version is designed for Snow Leopard, as all newer versions of OS X ship with a new version of facetime. Though I think Apple should make this clearer by maybe adding a “only compatible with Snow Leopard” tag or something. Would also help prevent people from purchasing software they already have on their Mac.

Apple have to patch this version of facetime. They are recommending that update for the snow leopard and it doesnt work.

I WAS HAVING CONNECTION ISSUES WITH MY MOTHERS IPAD AND SINCE I DID THE UPDATE, I CANT EVEN SIGN IN NOW!!!! IT KEEPS TELLING ME MY PASSWORD IS INCORRECT. BUT WHEN I TRY TO SIGN IN ON MY DADS IMAC IT WORKS FINE. BUT I CANNOT SIGN IN ON MY MACBOOK PRO USING SNOW LEOPARD. KEEP IN MIND, MY FATHER HAS NOT DONE THE UPDATE AND HIS FACETIME WORKS!!!! SO DO NOT MAKE THIS UPDATE!!!!

Please help. I downloaded the new update for the up and I cannot longer sign in. What can I do?

Works better than much more expensive enterprise solutions. Allows us to keep in touch with distant family with no long distance and a much more intimate communication mechanism.

This is how I talk to any Mac or iOS friends. It just works.

I run ALL mac stuff.. Mac pro tower with OSX 10.6.8 and a firewird isight and it runs like poop! not sure why? iChat was WAY better and on newer computers facetime rocks! but on older systems forget it! also, if you using ANY other divce firewire in your system IT WONT WORK! with this app running!!!

レビューらしくなかったので修正。 Mac Pro（初代）にLogicool(Logitech)のカメラ(WebCam Pro 900 これも初期のもの)で問題なく使用できました。 iSightは今後どうするんでしょ？ カメラはiShghtからFaceTimeに名を変えたし、これからの機種あるいは次のOS(10.7？)からは標準装備(もちろん無料)にして下さいね。

iSightカメラがFaceTimeカメラに名前を変えて解像度アップしたようですが、有料化するなら、iCatTVのように複数とのFaceTimeで複数のビデオ通話?に対応してほしかったかもw 今後に期待します〜♬

iPhone4からMacへ、MacからMacへはスムーズに繋がりました。しかしなぜかMacからiPhone4へ繋がりません。うーん、なぜだろ？　本来機能すべきところがNGなので辛い評価とします。iChatとの使い分けもどうかと思いますが、iOSデバイスとのビデオ通話は直感的で分かりやすく良いと思います。

Very nice,but i´d like to do landscape calls on my iMac jus like the new MacBook PRO,even the iMac´s camera is not HD.

This is so buggy it only works about %10 of the time. I tried out the beta months ago and had troubles but thought Apple must have fixed them so I bought it. They havent fixed the bugs. Calling my new iPod from my new iMac makes the iPod ring but when I tap answer on the iPod nothing happens most of the time - it just doesnt connect. Calling my iMac from my iPod almost never works. big bummer!

While the calling is no problem, the software simply leaves the macbook pro iSight camera on while the program is running. With no way to switch off the camera, one can only switch off the program, making you unreachable. Kind of purpose-defeating. The facetime support section is also very unhelpful w.r.t. this problem. Cant find a thing, cant post a thing. Good thing this was cheap.

When starting Facetime for Mac, the MacBook Airs microphone setting is getting very low. And the counter person can hardly hear my voice. Microphone setting for "Facetime for Mac" needs to be improved. So, if you already uses iPhone5/4Ss facetime, you will definitely be disappointed this point. But, on a positive side, you can place your Mac on anywhere without holding it by your hand.

Everything works just fine! iMac 2010 with Snow Leopard

I like this, zero issues. On MacbookAir 15"... Easy to use, fast startup, good fun to use and mac style :)
