Facetime not working in my app

Facetime is not working in my Mac. The software says it should work for OS X updates above 10.6.0 but it isnt working in OS X Snow Leopard 10.6.8.
Even lost a dollar becuase of this. Now its throwing an error saying "There was a problem with FaceTime. You need to quit and open FaceTime again.". And this keeps repeating.
