facetime needs a chat window and share screen window

facetime needs a chat window and share screen window. Video flux is a bit jerky compared to skype or google.

Facetime 1.0.4 not working on 10.6.8

Main issue seems to be the imagent service, see console messages below: 4/16/14 8:10:35 PMimagent[739]Unable to create APS daemon connection: (os/kern) failure 4/16/14 8:10:35 PMimagent[739]Unable to get public token: (ipc/send) invalid destination port 4/16/14 8:10:35 PMimagent[739]Unable to set enabled topics: (ipc/send) invalid destination portt There is no solution or fix available in the support communities. Version 1.0.5 is required asap as I cant downgrade to version 1.0.2 which was working fine.

THIS VERSION DOES NOT WORK

like numerous users it seems, I cant even sign in to use the app, waste of time and money until they fix this issue...

Are you kidding me Apple???

If you do so: this aint funny! I want my money back and the time wasted trying to get face time working. Definitely does not work! Do your f...ing homework!!!

Audio degredation mid-call.

Call starts off fine, but after a few minutes of talking, the audio on my end degrades to the point where I cant make out anything the other side is saying. Makes for a great monologue. Other than that, I love FaceTime.

I cant hear youuu....

Everything works well with this app except for the audio......I can see my family but cant hear them....we probably talk for about 5 minutes if were lucky then they cant hear me anymore...... PLS PLS FIX ASAP

fix

i would rate this 5 stars but whenever i am on facetime with any device other than a mac my sound cuts out and i can hear them but they cant hear me please fix

no sound

No sound when I call from my Mac...

wont work

keeps saying that it has an internal error and needs to be started again. still doesnt work, trashed it and re-downloaded, doesnt work.....

Doesnt work with iPhone (unless phone is using WiFi)

Installed this on my Mac desktop so that I could Facetime with my family who have iPhones. Problem is, that the person with the iPhone cannot connect from just anywhere! They have to be using WiFi, *not their phone plan connection*, if that makes any sense. For instance, when my son is a passenger in a car, or walking down the street he cannot receive/send Facetime, but he CAN when he is at home (with WiFi), or at the library, which has free WiFi. Glad that it was only .99, but I am very sorry that I wasted a dollar.

Dont waste your dollar

I purchased this app, and once it was installed, tried to run it. Apparently like many before me, I get as far as a pop-up error message: "An internal FaceTime error occurred. There was a problem with FaceTime. You need to quit and open FaceTime again." Thats all I can get this app to do. Tried everything. If you want to spend a dollar on a pop-up error msg, then this app is for you! Also, in trying to get support from Apple, they require an Order Number, which can only found on the bottom of a rock in North Korea.

I gave it a Four, Its pretty basic.

The one thing I was expecting was a status bar icon. so that I could have the app running on my macbook but without the constant cam feed.

Unworking

Everytime I download facetime it never opens when I try to open it! It works flawlessly with my sister and her ipad 2 when shes taking with my mom on her mac book pro. I have a mac book pro but it doesnt open and Im starting to become annoyed. -what to do?

Great video quality. Better than iChat

The app is not flawless. I wish I could tell which of my contacts was online. I also dont like that it imports my entire contact list. But the app is solid.

facetime

I just bought the facetime app, my brother is on his new iphone & I am on my imac. It worked perfectly except the second time we used it, he could not hear me on his end but I could hear him. He was checking his volume controls & when he muted on his end it muted him but he still could not hear me when he unmuted on his end....... Not sure what the problem could be, I read that some other people experienced some of the same problems & could use some advice. SO COOL otherwise, but I would like to hear him......then I would definately give it 5 stars!

Great but...

Great app, love the sound and video quality, also very intuitive command. However, I frequently experience a problem where the other person completely loses my audio. Please fix this and I will rate it 5 stars.

Why doesnt this ever work properly?

Kind of surprised that Apple put this garbage out. I need to talk to someone who is in another country and we try to Facetime from Mac to Mac, and it literally takes us 6 or 7 tries before the connection works. Seriously? I realize there are other video chat options out there, but when I pay for one I expect it to work most of the time. Very disappointed...

busy busy busy

All I get is busy/dropped calls.

This should be free!

I bought this thinking i would have a better conversation with my girlfriend through facetime than skype because we were both using apple products (me, a macbook pro and her, an iphone 4) and its optimized for such devices. i was WRONG. in fact, this is even worse than skype. it has a smaller video screen coverage and the conversation was mostly choppy even though our wifi coverage is good. for a dollar app, it doesnt even stand out it any way compared to other free video chat applications. it has no chatting through text while video calling, no special templates, not even an option to call a local phone number! might as well stick with skype or yahoo messenger! i feel like i have been robbed by apple for giving me a beta application and charging me a dollar! take my advise, dont be a sucker for this app and save your money.

Many users have problems with sound when talking to iPad users

Facetime for Mac OS often does not work when connecting to iPads. The sound drops out after 1-2 minutes. There is a 1000-comment thread on the apple discussion site started 7 months ago (see thread 3388112), and the problem has not been fixed. Facetime between iPads is great, but between my MacBook Pro and iPad (both 2nd and 3rd gen) - not so much.
