C’mon Apple, get your act together

Mac OS Sierra too “new” for FaceTime? Come on, Apple, make sure at least your apps are ready for the latest OS. Please update FaceTime ASAP. Thank you.

Dont download the update

Many Snow Leopard users cannot login after update. I wish I hadnt updated because I use Facetime to connect with clients and its hurting my business.

I no longer have a title

After all of the complaints of those of us who were upset and inconvenienced by the bugs in the previoius update for FaceTime I would like to exhale a long sigh and offer a "Thank You" for the belated fix.

New Version Works Great!!

Thanks for fixing this app for us "legacy" users!! Login now works and FaceTime calls connect properly. Next Release--Can FaceTime Voice-only calls be added--Please!!

wont start or lad error messege

I just updated and facetime on my imac does not open it says theres an error come on get it together

Version 1.0.5 STILL NOT WORKING

What I get now is not the sign-in page but the message saying "YOU HAVE BEEN DISCONNECTED FROM FACETIME SERVICES. An internal error occurred that disconnected you from all FaceTime services. To resume using FaceTime, quit and relaunch FaceTime." Another page pops out that says "No camera". Come on, Apple technicians, weve been waiting since April 16! Can you please make fixing this a high priority? Thank you.

New release not working

Installed new version and get the message "You have been disconnected from FaceTime services. An internal error occurred that disconnetced you from all FaceTime services. To resume using FaceTime, quit and relaunch FaceTime." Ive done this several times and it still doesnt work.

Thank You!!

Version 1.0.5 works like a charm! Thanks again for working diligently on the problem, resolving it and issuing the much needed fix. Im now able to once again connect with my family thousands of miles away and they too thank you!

Internal error for new Facetime update 1.0.5

Just updated Facetime to 1.0.5..now it wont launch. says internal error occurred that disconnected you from all Facetime services. ..says to quit and relaunch. I have tried this multiple time. still gets internal error. tried restarting computer..still wont work. Also when screen comes up it is black with a video camera icon that says camera off. and the same error message to quit and relaunch pops up.

Works after a restart

I did the update on iMac & MacBook FaceTime was not functional although I could sign-in on the iMac, but had another error on the MacBook. I realized I had not restarted the computers after the upgrade - I was not prompted to do so, but after a restart on both computers, everything is working perfectly!

Fix THIS!!

So, no fix for iPhone w/out upgrading to an iOS I dont want, nor have space for on my iPhone 4S, without deleting things or buying an iPhone 5. $.99 for an "upgrade" just a fix to YOUR broken product. Now Ive upgraded on my laptop, but the iPod user Im trying to connect to, who doesnt have iOS7, still cant connect. When he suggested he should get a new iPod, my head almost exploded. Extortion! I told him absolutely NOT! Fix your broken software without forcing us to purchase/upgrade what we dont want. Really Apple, this is some Microsoft/Bill Gates type BS.

version 1.0.5

I finally was able to get on using my password, but it still wont connect to the caller I am trying to talk with. What a waste of money.

It works!

Facetime working again - 1.0.5 fixed whatever ailed the previous version. Thank you apple.

Version 1.0.5 Works Perfectly For Me!

I have been unable to use FaceTime for the last few days. I am on OSX 10.6.8 -- I uninstalled my old FaceTime, restarted my computer, downloaded the new version, restarted again, and works perfectly! Thanks so much for fixing it!

Most hirrible updating

after i updated new version, its totally not working at all!!! Please check it and make it work, ok?

Finally works. But you need to correctly remove all old files first.

After installing this update, I got a service interruption notice saying "You have been disconneted from Apple Services, etc..." when trying to load facetime, restarting the macbook didnt help. So I used a great little app called "AppDelete" and it found all the old file from facetime, deleted them, and then I installed this new version again, it worked after that. It would be nice if Apple cared to mention this.

Cant log in

i got really happy when i saw an update. BUT when i downloaded it the update it gave me another error code, internal error. so deleted the app then downloaded it the app again and it has the same issue before the update. it says please check your internet connection!! im connected. FIX THIS

waste of time

For me, dear Apple, this latest attempt at Facetime is a complete waste of time. I cant get it to get beyond the password, which was verified as correct. Something basic is wrong.

Doesnt work. Never did.

Pretty straightforward. I downloaded the app to my computer to have a larger screen area to talk with family back home, but it never worked. Yup, not once. Good job, Apple. Id say keep trying, but I know youre not listening anyhow.

Updated needed for 10.6.8

This update is required for those running 10.6.8. Old version stopped working on April 16th, 2014. There is an article on Apples site. But it will not let you download it if you have Facetime that came with your Mac. You must first DELTE your current version, then PAY for this update. OK, not a big deal. Same on iPhone, FaceTime stopped working on April 16th. You must update to iOS 7.1.1 or else it will not work. If you have an iPhone which takes iOS 7, you mUST ypdate if you need FaceTime. You want to stay with iOS 6, faceTime will not work. Those with very old phone which do not run iOS 7 received 6.1.6 update, but the new phones must be updated to 7. Overall a very bad experience with these forced updates.
