Can’t install this application on OS X 10.10 because it’s “too new” even though it’s claimed it supposrts 10.6 and up…seriously?

I had to move away (1100 miles) to a new city in the middle of a semester and a friend suggested FaceTime as a way I could log into my class and complete the coursework. Installed the application, connected to the class Im taking and everything worked *beautifully*! Thank you, Apple!

Almost as wonderful as iChat was. Facetime replaced my Janus Friis & co. app.

why can’t u update 2 work it is not that new

i just purchase the FaceTime apps but when i update my MAC it says Facetime can’t be installed on Macintosh HD, Because the version of OS X is too new...

Same problem for months now. Cannot sign in - I have used the correct password and have signed in successfully on other MBP’s. The “please check your network connection” message always shows, although I am able to use the internet and everything else with no problem. Also, I can’t uninstall? Before when I had this problem, I would un/reinstall and things would work. However I can’t do this anymore.

Cant get it to sign me in. Followed trouble shooting guide. Says to check net work. All ok there. Cant get to Facetime preferences, it is greyed out. HELP

Just will not work. Very buggy.

This app doesn’t works as expected. I’m a frecuent user in my Ipad or my Ipod, so i really want to use it in my MacBook too, but i can’t beacuse this app always has an error with delay and freeze the video streaming. Now I made the update to the new iOS The Captain and the update of Facetime says that my iOS is too new. WTH!! Please, for loyal users of Mac, you must do something about this App ASAP.

FaceTime should have always been a free app. Just want to make sure that users DO NOT download this as it now ships for free with the latest OS. I really wish this app would disappear from the app store.

Now this is interesting ~ I attempted to install FaceTime, on OS X 10.10.5, and received the following message: “FaceTime can’t be installed on “Macintosh HD” because the version of OS X is too new.”
