After a while they cant hear me

Everything is working well but after 30-40 minutes they cant hear me anymore. I can hear them but they cant hear me. I have to call back a couple of times till its good. Help???????

Great App

I prefer this App to using Skype, but unfortunately the other person has to have this App as well to be able to have a two way communication. With the upcoming release of OS6 in the fall, this App will become a lot more usefull since you will be able to talk to someone on an iPhone or iPad who does not have a Wifi connection.

LOVE IT!

I dont know where people have a problem - maybe they need to upgrade their iOS or OSX?? Works great between my 2 daughters (far away) iMac for one and MacBook Pro for the other and my iPad, iPhone, MacBook Pro and Mac Mini (using an iSight - which of course has a less quality picture than the rest with built in camera - technology moves on).. Havent tried my iPod yet. FaceTime with our new Grandaughter has provided a twice weekly get together when we couldnt travel the 1200 Kilometers between us for her first 6 months!!

Doesnt work on Mac OS X Mountain Lion

After a recent update to Mac OS X Mountain Lion, I found out that Face Time couldnt be installed because the Mountain Lion system is too new. Please make it so that Face Time is compatible with the Mac OS X system.

Absolutely horrible!

You cant share your screen, you cant share videos/pictures through it, you cant send files, you cant type messages, when you arent even in a video chat with anyone the camera is still on and wastes your batteries. For an iphone/ipod I can see why this is a good app, but for my laptop its completely useless!! Why did they get rid of ichat again? Biggest waste of .99! The connection on it is not even good, skype and google work better :| And no its NOT HD.

Sound goes mute after a few minutes

I bought this app so that I could talk to my parents on their brand new MacBook Pro. Since they already had Facetime installed, I bought the app to use on my MacBook Pro that didnt come with it. It works for a couple of minutes then they stop hearing audio from me. I can hear them, but they cant hear me. It happened every time we tried it. They are so upset about it they want to return their MacBook Pro that they just bought.

does NOT work at all

I cannot hear ANY voice at all. The sound problem is a HUGE problem, but apple just think they are too cool to fix this problem? it is UNUSABLE! how ignorant!

Internal Error

so as I attempt to launch the application, it wont even open as theres an interal error. Thats ridiculous. After paying for the app the least you could do was make it open. An update to address that would be appreciated.

No Sound!

Just bought this for our iMac and no one can hear us when we facetime. SUPER annoying. iPad and iPhone work fine, just this version for iMac. Id love my money back - but what i would love MORE is a version that works!

Audio cuts out after a couple minutes

Chat program with an unreliable audio stream, waste of money. This was purchased and installed on my unibody macbook running SL.

Downloaded Facetime and when I try to sign in all I ever get is this... "could not sign in. Please check your network connection and try again." Obviously my network connection is fine or how else would I be posting this review. Facetime works fine on my iPhone 5 so Id like to rate it a bit higher but since Id also like to use it on my 27" Mac and it wont work I give it a 1 star - meaning I hate it. Save your $ dont download it for Mac and come on Apple get your house in order please; this is silly. And yes I tried opening ports, checking my date/time, bypassed router, and tried Googles DNS 8.8.8.8 and nothing. Same problems, just doesnt work. plain and simple !! Very disappointed yet again Apple.

Rings but doesnt connect.

I am trying to FaceTime between my Macbook Pro and my iPad 2. It will ring on one end and say "connecting" on the other but that is as far as it gets.

Audio cuts out after a few minutes time and time again

I have a Macbook Air with Snow Leopard. I live in northern Canada and we use Facetime for piano lessons as the piano teacher using an iPad lives in another town. The Facetime calls work fine for a few minutes, then the audio cuts out and the person on the other end cant hear us. We have to either restart Facetime or restart the computer. Last piano lesson we had to restart the call 5 or 6 times then we gave up halfway through the lesson. I have read on the support forums that this has been an ongoing problem for well over a year and there is no sign of a fix. We own over dozen Apple products (two iPod nanos, one iPod touch, two iPhones, an iMac, two iPads, a MacBook Air. two Apple TVs, an Airport Extreme, an Airport Express... we have been Apple fans for years after experiencing Windows and all its headaches... this reminds me of the old Windows days when I would spend more time fixing the computer than I would using it. This is an extreme frustration because my sons education depends on this... by the way we have a fast internet connection and no other problems with the computer using any other programs... I have become disappointed in Apple as they have had plenty of time to fix this problem and they have not. I want my 99 cents back, with interest.

Worst purchase ever.

This app screws up multiple times every conversation I have. It doesnt even work on my girlfriends macbook air! Once every 30minutes or so I have to restart the app and call back because volume is lost on one end of the conversation. ITS RIDICULOUS! Seriously Apple, if youre going to make us pay for this dumb thing AT LEAST MAKE SURE IT WORKS!!!!

Horrible

Does not work at all past your log in screen. Will freeze every single time

could not sign in , pls check your network connection LOOP

wont work at snow leopard 10.6.8 keep giving couldnot sign in error ...please fix this issue or it will be a waste of money.

FaceTime

Installed FaceTime and cant get past the first message which states; " The resgistering device does not have appropriate credentials." I have no idea what this means and no one at Apple has been able to giive me an answer or help.
