When I try to login it says the "registering device does not have the appropriate credentials." I love facetime on my phone but sadly, it is not working for my Macbook Pro. Very disappointing.

Im going to need my dollar back apple if your crappy products arent going to work. This is why I use windows.

Works flawlessly for me. However, I wish the contacts were pulled from iCloud on 10.6 .

What a shame that using a MacBook Pro with OS X 10.6.8 I cant connect to anybody I know with an iPhone- it wont even attempt the call unless you remove parentheses, the hyphen, and even the *82 from your contacts telephone number- this means keep two sets of contacts, since many of my contacts wont ordinarily take a voice call if the caller ID isnt given when I use my iPhone. There was a time when all Apple stuff "just worked," but no more. From what Im told in the Apple Store, if the Mac isnt on Mavericks, this app doesnt work. Im not sure that they are correct, but they are too busy to be bothered. It isnt the 99 cents that bothers me- its the ability of everyone ELSE to do this stuff using Google, Skype, or a bunch of other programs on a computer and apps on an iDevice, while if I stick to using Apple software and hardware, Im somehow locked out because I cant go trotting along spending money and throwing out perfectly useful stuff just to have the latest.

Facetime is not working in my Mac. The software says it should work for OS X updates above 10.6.0 but it isnt working in OS X Snow Leopard 10.6.8. Even lost a dollar becuase of this. Now its throwing an error saying "There was a problem with FaceTime. You need to quit and open FaceTime again.". And this keeps repeating.

and its not working at all...app wont even open. why?...

I try to Facetime with my parents and it won’t connect! I didn’t have this problem with the previous versions! Now I use skype instead so please fix this!!

And why does my computer know I don’t need it and not know to remove the update and the irritating little red dot showing I have an update?!!

In my experience is better video and better sound that with any other VOIP I have ever used. So I don’t understand the bad ratings here.

For the last 6 months I have been prompted nearly every single day to update my FaceTime software, even though it states that my software is up to date. My applications icon thus remains emblazzoned with that annoying red update flag.

Works just fine for what I need it to do. Suggestions: iMessage through the facetime app. Being able to send video messages saying like "call me back." Just look at Skype and take it from them! They got it down. Just all my friends are iPhone people who are all Apple. Good job with that one! Also, it kind of annoys me that it comes free with 10.9 (Mavericks) but you have to pay .99 for it through 10.7. Also, I know what we are all thinking "GROUP FACETIME PLEASE!!!!!!

Doesn’t FaceTime come with every version of OS X since 10.7?

It wont work. It just says that an internal error has occurred. Customer support says i have to "Download and install OS X Mountain Lion v10.8.4 or later." This doesnt match the product description.

I have had facetime on my snow leopard running computer since 2011-12. upon running into problems, ive been trying to update. the apple store will not let me update facetime. i have uninstalled, deleted, emptyed trash, ran software update on computer, and restarted. I have even deleted facetime out of my purchases and tried to REPURCHASE and it will still not let me. i have tried every work around, and the app store is practically invalid, not updating any of my other apps or letting me download any apps. i hope this will be resolved soon, however its not looking to be that way. 1 star is well deserved apple.

I Paid the .99 cents for the program and it works great on my desktop.

Was working fine first few uses and now never connects when I make calls.

Face time doest work i conttantly try to make calls but it just loades for a long period of time and it just dosent work even tho i have wifi on and it is raelly slow and befor my new update facetime used to work perfectly and now it doest work .

this is the first time i went ot install an app and i told me it couldn be installed because my version of OS is too new! UGGGGG!!!!! when will his be updated? "FaceTime can’t be installed on “Macintosh HD” because the version of OS X is too new."

This video chat application works seemlessly with iPhone, iPad, and Mac computers. It’s only drawback is that you cannot chat with multiple people at one time, unlike the video chat in iMessage.
